HORSE-RACES TOOK PLACE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On occasion of the National Great Festival, 806th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire and 91st anniversary of the People's Revolution, horse races took place on July 10-13 in the "Khui Doloon Khudag" horse-race arena in five age categories. A bare horse with blaze on the forehead, trained by G.Batdelger from Ovorkhangai aimag's Burd soum, took first place in the race of colts among over 310. A chestnut horse, trained by a famous horse trainer T.Batzorig from Dornod aimag, came first in the race of three-year old horses. This horse is owned by J.Enkhbold (Dornod aimag's Bayan-Uul soum). In the race of five-year old 273 horses, a dark horse, trained by A.Batsukh from Tov aimag's Sergelen soum, became the champion. A horse with a blaze on the forehead, trained by D.Bat-Erdene MP, took the first place among stallions; and a chestnut horse trained by a famous trainer B.Bat-Olzii from Khentii aimag's Dadal soum won the race of horses above five years. On Friday, the race of mixed-blood horses took place, and a sorrel one, trained by A.Ariunsaikhan from Gobi-Altai, took the first place. B.Khuder
