Indian Muslim Organization Condems US Over Desecration Of Holy Quran

New Delhi, May 6, IRNA – Strongly condemning the desecration of Holy Quran by an American Pastor, Terry Jones, the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) Saturday scolded the US administration for its tragic silent over the sacrilegious act. Addressing a Press Meet today in New Delhi Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari, President of JIH said, “The communal frenzy Pastor once again hurt the whole Muslim community by burning the scriptures of Holy Quran and the silence of United States administration is tragic”. He asserted, “It is the appeal of all Indian Muslims and its justice loving people that the US government should prevent its persons from committing such an immoral, illegal, and sacrilegious act and should give exemplary punishment if anyone commits this act.” Turning on to the Middle East’s present situation, Maulana Umari said, “Israel is continuously committing atrocities against all Palestinians even world community is ignoring the hunger strikes of the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.' He urged all Muslim countries to come out and resolve the major issue by united and sincerer efforts./end
