Iranian president calls for increased cooperation between Majlis, administration

TEHRAN,March 11(MNA) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called for increased cooperation between the parliament and the administration in order to facilitate the country’s progress. “Today, the Majlis and the administration should have increased cooperation and interaction with each other in order to help the progress and development of the country, the system, and the revolution so that we can achieve our national objectives,” Rouhani said during a meeting with a number of members of the Majlis majority faction on Monday. The people will benefit from increased interaction between the Majlis and the administration, he said. He also said that the “government of prudence and hope” has been faced with lots of problems since it took office in last August, adding that the administration has been successful in dealing with some problems, for example in bringing inflation under control. In addition, he advised lawmakers to take note of the administration’s achievements as they sometimes criticize the administration for its performance. Nuclear negotiating team is ‘completely professional skillful’ Commenting on the process of talks between Tehran and the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) on the dispute over the country’s nuclear program, President Rouhani said that Iran’s nuclear negotiating team is “completely professional and skillful” and is doing its work under the supervision of the Supreme National Security Council and another high council for policymaking.
