Iraq, Syria FMs en route to Tehran

TEHRAN, Dec. 08 (MNA) – Iraqi and Syrian FMs will arrive in Tehran to attend an international summit and meet with Iranian officials. Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim Jafari and Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem will be in Tehran to attend the first International Conference on World against Violence and Extremism. The two officials are set to meet Mohammad Javad Zarif during their stay in Tehran. The Iraqi FM would arrive this evening and he will tonight meet with his Iranian counterpart. Meanwhile, Walid Muallem and Zarif will meet tomorrow to discuss latest development in Syria and the region. The first conference on President Rouhani’s WAVE proposal to the UN General Assembly will open on upcoming Tuesday and is scheduled to continue for two days until December 10. The event organizers had already told media that officials from more than 40 countries will participate the conference.
