JICA TO REALIZE PROJECT

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The government of Mongolia and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will implement a project on improving a capability of protection against disasters. This was discussed on Thursday by M.Enkhbold, the Deputy Premier, and Isogai Toshinari, a country representative of the JICA. Works will run such as control over earthquake risks, improvement of skills of those who will protect from disasters and of related organizations and experts, and disaster-resistant construction. The project will last until November of 2014. At the meeting, Mr. Toshinari said the JICA thanks Mongolia for giving an assistance to Japan in overcoming the aftermath of the devastating natural disasters that occurred last year in Fukushima. The JICA decided to run a training on actions in case of disasters and on setting safety zones, and plans to present 23 fire-fighter vehicles to units, he added. B.Khuder
