Judiciary Chief Casts Vote For 9th Majlis Elections

Qom, March 3, IRNA – Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani said here on Friday that participating in the 9th parliamentary elections is a religious duty for the Iranian nation. Ayatollah Larijani made the remarks after casting his vote for the Majlis elections in this central city. The Islamic Republic of Iran is an influential country in the Middle East region, he stressed, adding that the 1979 Islamic Revolution has had effective impact on the ongoing Islamic Awakening wave in the region. 48,288,799 Iranians are legally permitted to vote for the 9th Majlis elections. Out of the eligible Iranian population for voting, 3,960,000 are voting for the first time./end
