Khalifa: UAE keen to form balanced bilateral relations

Abu Dhabi, April 11, 2012 (WAM) - President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan reiterated the UAE's keenness to establish balanced relations with all countries in the world. The President was speaking as he received the credentials of 12 new foreign ambassadors to the UAE at Al Diyafa Palace in Abu Dhabi yesterday.
Also, three new UAE ambassadors were sworn in before Sheikh Khalifa who urged them to work with dedication to boost the UAE's position at all levels. The ambassadors included Mohammad Ali Al Naqbi, as Permanent Representative to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (Nato), Saeed Obaid Mohammad Al Ka'abi, the new ambassador to Libya, and Ali Ahmad Bin Shukr Al Za'abi to Kuwait.
General Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, was present.
The President highlighted the important role of UAE missions in offering assistance and care to Emirati citizens abroad, adding that the UAE gives priority to human assets by utilising their capabilities to serve the nation and its citizens.
Sheikh Khalifa received the credentials of four resident ambassadors for Brazil, Turkmenistan, Armenia and Nepal, and the credentials of eight non-resident envoys for Cuba, Magnolia, Slovenia, San Marino, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Guinea, and Sierra Leone.
Sheikh Khalifa welcomed the new envoys and wished them success in discharging their assignments and enhancing the relations between the UAE and their respective countries.
He reiterated the UAE's commitment to boosting ties with all fraternal and friendly countries, and promised the new envoys total cooperation and support from all state organisations to facilitate the smooth discharge of their duties in the country. "You will be accorded all the assistance and support you need from all government authorities to facilitate your mission of enhancing cooperation between your countries and the UAE," Sheikh Khalifa told the diplomats.
The new ambassadors expressed their happiness at representing their countries in the UAE and praised the UAE for its wise policies under the leadership of Sheikh Khalifa.
Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President's Representative, Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Adviser to the National Security Council, and other Sheikhs and senior officials, were also present. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
