Khotol Cement Plant increases capacity four times

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ During his working visit to northern Selenge and Darkhan-Uul provinces, the Prime Minister of Mongolia N.Altankhuyag attended an opening ceremony of the Khotol cement plant in Selenge province on Thursday. During his remarks, the Prime Minister noted that the cement plant has been reopened with four-time increased capacity of production, which is to supply now a half of domestic cement needs. The capacity enhancement project has been implemented under cooperation of the Development Bank and domestic firms. Besides the Khotol cement plant, three more factories are being under construction in eastern Dornogovi province, said the Prime Minister. Before coming to Selenge province, the Prime Minister visited neighboring Darkhan-Uul province to get introduced activities of the Darkhan Metallurgical plant that has recently become operational all year around from seasonal operational mode, and the Erel cement plant that produced fifty thousand ton of cement last year, and is planning to produce one hundred thousand ton of cement this year.
