Kim Jong Un Guides 3rd Meeting of KPA Activists in O Jung Hup-led 7th Regiment Title Movement

Pyongyang, August 4 (KCNA) -- The 3rd Meeting of Activists of the Korean People's Army (KPA) in the Movement for Winning the Title of O Jung Hup-led 7th Regiment was held at the April 25 House of Culture here on August 2-3 under the guidance of supreme commander of the Korean People's Army. Present there were Hwang Pyong So, Ri Myong Su, Pak Yong Sik and other KPA commanding officers and officials and servicepersons who have distinguished themselves in the mass movement. In his opening address, Kim Jong Un said that the meeting of activists in the O Jung Hup-led 7th Regiment Title Movement, the first meeting of the KPA after the Seventh Congress of the WPK, is aimed to add eternal brilliance to Kim Jong Il's idea on the mass movement and his leadership exploits and turn all the KPA units into the 7th regiment of the anti-Japanese war and guards units of the Fatherland Liberation War by bringing about a fresh change in the movements for winning the titles of O Jung Hup-led 7th Regiment and guards unit as required by the times and the developing revolution and defend the Party and revolution and bring earlier the final victory in reliance on the KPA. KPA Vice Marshal Hwang Pyong So, director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA, made a report at the meeting. The reporter noted that Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un set the O Jung Hup-led 7th Regiment Title Movement as the general orientation for the military and political work in the KPA, with his deep insight into the position and role of the movement in strengthening the KPA into the powerful revolutionary Paektusan army, and advanced the policy of dynamically launching the movement for winning the title of guards unit as part of the said movement. Speeches were made by general officers and other officers of the KPA. The speakers stressed that the credit for epochal change taking place in the bolstering of military strength goes to the wise guidance of Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un who kindled the fierce flame of the said movement and led it. Kim Jong Un made a speech at the meeting. He said that the O Jung Hup-led 7th Regiment Title Movement is a general line for building the Party's army and it is a mass movement of the highest form reflecting the present-day's requirement. What is important in dynamically conducting the O Jung Hup-led 7th Regiment Title Movement is to direct primary efforts to strengthening the army in politic-ideological and moral aspects, he said. He ardently called upon on all the servicepersons to turn out as one in the movements for winning the title of O Jung Hup-led 7th Regiment and guards unit to create the spirit representing the Mallima era and vigorously advance toward the final victory of the cause of the Juche revolution.
