Kim Jong Un's Congratulatory Message to Meeting Marking 70th Anniversary of KDWU in Japan

Pyongyang, October 9 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, Supreme Leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Monday sent a congratulatory message to the meeting marking the 70th anniversary of the Korean Democratic Women's Union in Japan (KDWU). He in the message said that 70 years covered by the KDWU is a history of guidance and love by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and a course of victory reflective of patriotic loyalty and devotion of the Korean women in Japan. He extended thanks to the elders of the Korean women's movement in Japan, women activists, members of mothers' societies and all other Korean women in Japan who have devoted their all to cultivating the flower garden of patriotism and bringing up the dependable successors to the patriotic cause of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) while sharing intention and mind with their socialist homeland. The KDWU is the largest mass organization of Chongryon representing the rights and interests of all Korean women in Japan and they are a powerful patriotic force pushing one of the two wheels of the chariot of the movement of Koreans in Japan, he said, adding: The union officials and other Korean women in Japan should firmly defend and add luster to the idea of the peerlessly great persons of Mt Paektu on the Juche-based overseas Korean women's movement and their exploits and dynamically advance the Korean women's movement in Japan along the orbit of Juche indicated by the great leaders. Though they are in an alien land, the Korean women in Japan should keep deep in their mind Kim Jong Il's patriotism, make tangible contributions to the independent reunification of the country and the building of a powerful socialist nation and further strengthen the bonds of friendship with the world progressive women including the Japanese women valuing justice and truth.
