Leaders of Central Asian countries to meet in Tashkent in March

Ashgabat, Aug. 24, 2018 / Kabar /. The next meeting of Presidents of Central Asian countries will be held in March in Tashkent, Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Erlan Abdyldaev told reporters commenting on the results of the first day of the state visit of President Sooronbay Jeenbekov to Turkmenistan. "The relations of strategic partnership are the highest level of relations between countries. Therefore, I would like to say once again that Kyrgyzstan is going to establish such relations, namely with the priority countries. Turkmenistan is one of them," the the Kyrgyz Foreign Minister said. Abdyldaev stressed that first of all it is important to create an atmosphere of mutual trust, understanding and support in Central Asia. He recalled that in 2018 a meeting of the heads of Central Asian states in Astana was held. "This format will be continued in 2019. The same meeting will be held in Tashkent on the eve of Nooruz," the minister said. "We are talking about creating a very important and necessary consultative mechanism for regular meetings between the heads of state between our countries. Today, during the talks, the President of Turkmenistan expanded the understanding of how he sees this. It is planned to launch the mechanism of consultations between senior officials, between foreign ministers and, of course, the consultative meetings of the heads of state," said Abdyldaev.
