MINISTER OF CONSTRUCTION AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT MEETS AMBASSADOR OF CHINA

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Construction and Urban Development Kh.Badelkhan received Xing Haiming, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Mongolia, on October 25. Beginning the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated Kh.Badelkhan on his appointment as the Minister of Construction and Urban Development and expressed his hope the countries would boost the cooperation in the construction and urban development spheres. He expressed China’s interest in accelerating implementation of ongoing and planned projects and program in accordance with decisions of the two Governments. “Your support is vital to finish projects and programs including the Project of Infrastructure Improvement in Zamiin-Uud, construction of ger districts, developing civil engineering and Project of Housing and Infrastructure for Ulaanbaatar city,” noted Ambassador Xing Haiming. After expressing his satisfaction with meeting with the Chinese Ambassador, Minister Kh.Badelkhan congratulated Xi Haiming on the 68th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China and said he was pleased to hear some good news about boosting of the PRC from the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Minister of Construction and Urban Development said, “During the ASEM Session, Li Keqiang, Premier of State Council of PRC, promised to provide CNY 1 billion non-refundable aid, in which the CNY 350 million was allocated into construction sector. I hope the Chinese side will carry out the works discussed during the meeting between Prime Minister of Mongolia J.Erdenebat and the President of PRC Xi Jinping at the 'Belt and Road' international forum, such as the CNY 2 billion non-refundable aid on re-planning of ger districts, improving their engineering network and establishing micro Service Centers in ger areas with lack of engineering network.” The sides expressed their agreement on the above-mentioned projects and promised to intensify their realization in the early 2018 and actively work on finalizing certain procedures related to the non-refundable aid. Ambassador Xing Haiming wished the Minister success and expressed his satisfaction with working together with the Minister in lifting up the cooperation level. B.Tugsbilig
