Mohammed bin Zayed visits Ataturk's Mausoleum

Feb 29, 2012 (WAM) - His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, yesterday visited the Mausoleum of Kemal Ataturk, founder and first president of the Republic of Turkey. Sheikh Mohammed, who is on a state visit to Turkey, placed a wreath at the monumental tomb and wrote a note on the VIP book, underscoring the UAE's sincere resolve to develop strong bonds with Turkey that fulfil aspirations of the two friendly countries and peoples. Sheikh Mohamed was welcomed upon arrival at the Mausoleum by Mehmet Simsek, Turkish Finance Minister, Mehmet Ali Uluta, Deputy Governor of Ankara, and Vural Altay, Turkish Ambassador to UAE. The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi toured the nearby museum which houses all sorts of artefacts and belongings of Ataturk and his life. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
