MONGOL STUDIES CENTER OPENS IN AUSTRALIA

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The first conference of Mongol studies ran on November 25 in Canberra, then a Center for Mongol studies was opened officially. The measure, co-organized by the Mongol studies center under the National University of Australia and Mongolia's Embassy in Australia, has been dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the contemporary diplomatic service of Mongolia. The ambassador of Mongolia Ts.Jambaldorj noted in his opening speech that the center is to spread Mongolia's history, culture and language not only in Australia but also in the Pacific region. Over 30 scholars, Mongolists, researchers and students gathered to give reports and to discuss history, archeology, anthropology, language and culture matters. B.Oyundelger
