MONGOLIA ADOPTS NATIONAL PROGRAM AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ During its regular meeting on May 24, Wednesday, the Cabinet discussed and adopted a National Program Against Human Trafficking. Measures to realize the program will find reflections in the corresponding action plans every year, and state and local budgets and international aids will finance the implementation. In the last 6 years, 54 human trafficking cases and 122 prostitution cases were investigated by the police, and 15 individuals were convicted for human trafficking and 54 individuals for 36 cases of prostitution and related crime. The national program aims to intensify the implementation of human trafficking law, prevent from this type of crimes and protect and socialize the victims of human trafficking. Kh.Aminaa
