MONGOLIA ATTENDS MEETING OF CULTURAL MINISTERS OF SCO

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A delegation led by D.Dalaijargal, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science is taking part in the 9th session of the 9th meeting of the Council of Culture Ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) held on June 5 in Beijing, China. Mongolia is taking part in it as an observer. In his speech, the State Secretary D.Dalaijargal highlighted that Mongolia has been attaching a great importance to participation in the political and economic integration of Central Asia and to the cooperation in cultural and humanitarian fields. He underlined an importance of the developmental plan of the SCO's cultural cooperation for next decade. The opening speech was made by Cai Wu, the Minister of Culture of the People's Republic of China. He highly praised the efforts and achievements made by member states. This year's meeting has brought together Ministers and Vice Ministers of culture of six member nations of the SCO; the observers such as Pakistan, Iran, India and Mongolia; the partners--Belarus and Sri Lanka; and 12 guest countries.
