MONGOLIA TO COOPERATE WITH SOUTH KOREA ON CRIME PREVENTION

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On May 22, Member of Parliament and Head of Parliamentary Standing Committee on State Structure N.Enkhbold received U Sung, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Korea to Mongolia.
During the meeting, MP N.Enkhbold said “Due to Presidential Election of the Republic of Korea, biennial business forum of the two countries was temporarily postponed. As the both sides attach a great significance to the forum, I hope the new president will intensify the work to organize the event soon. In this regard, I am kindly requesting you to pay attention to this matter and convey the proposal to related authorities”.
Moreover, he mentioned about the widening cooperation between business entrepreneurs of Mongolia and South Korea and requested from the Korean side to assist on crime prevention and cooperation between the Independent Authority Against Corruption of Mongolia and relevant agency of South Korea in this connection.
In turn, Ambassador U Sung expressed his confidence that the bilateral business forum will resume soon after when the new cabinet is formed and thanked for receiving him. The Ambassador then pledged to develop partnership between Mongolia's Authority against Corruption and South Korea's Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, which is in charge of combating corruption.
