MONGOLIA IS FREE FROM NUCLEAR WEAPON

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Cabinet meeting on Wednesday has discussed the measures taken by Nuclear energy agency in connection with that the wrong and mistaken information as if the nuclear waste is to be stored in Mongolia's territory was disseminated by some mass media means. In this regard, the Nuclear energy agency was obliged to release denial statement and take urgent and effective measures to provide public with objective and true information on Government policy and activities for appropriate using of nuclear energy and radioactive minerals. Prime Minister S.Batbold said that talk about storage of nuclear waste in Mongolia is absolutely groundless, therefore the matter should not be politicized. The Nuclear energy agency called press conference today and noted that nuclear waste storage is prohibited in the territory of the country as stated in the Constitution of Mongolia. The agency called for not to mislead people by distributing the wrong and false information. . B.Oyundelger
