MONGOLIA TO HOST BUSINESS FORUM WITH EURASIAN ECONOMIC COMMISSION THIS OCTOBER

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Prime Minister of Mongolia J.Erdenebat met with Tigran Sureni Sargsyan, the Chairman of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission. Mr. Tigran Sargsyan appreciated the PM for attending the 21st annual St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. He said that it will help develop cooperation between Mongolia and Eurasian Economic Commission. Since the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between Mongolia and Eurasian Economic Commission in 2015, the working group has convened twice and approved the “Joint Action Plan for 2017-2018”, which is directly related to tariff and non-tariff barriers in trade and cooperation to get rid of these barriers. PM J.Erdenebat mentioned that the first Business Forum of Mongolia and Eurasian Economic Commission is expected to take place in Ulaanbaatar in October 2017. He also proposed to establish a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with EEC to reduce trade difficulties and broaden economic relations between Mongolia and EEC and expressed his confidence that a joint study team will be assigned in this regard.
