MONGOLIA-RUSSIA FRIENDSHIP DAYS BEGIN

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ This year, Mongolia and Russia aim to celebrate the friendship days with high-important and fruitful measures for the public on a voluntary basis rather than with many propagandas, said Mr Ye.G.Mikhailov, a director of the UB-based Center of Russian Science and Culture (CRSC). He said it at a news conference on Thursday. This year's measure has been co-organized by the Russian Embassy in Mongolia, the CRSC, the MCFSs and the administration of Russia's Novosibirsk oblast. The friendship days are coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the Mongolia-Russia friendship treaty, and many activities are expected covering the business, education, sciences and culture spheres. In general, the measures aim to strengthen the understanding between the Mongolians and Russians and to propagandize the culture and history of the countries. The same day, an opening ceremony of the friendship days took place attracting a delegation led by V.A.Yurchenko, the governor of Novosibirsk oblast. The friendship days will take a month. B.Khuder
