MP B.SARANCHIMEG BECOMES IPU STANDING COMMITTEE’S MEMBER

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ MP B.Saranchimeg was elected a member of the Bureau of the Standing Committee on Democracy and Human Rights, the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) during its 138th Assembly on March 24-28 in Geneva, Switzerland. About 1600 parliamentarians from over 140 countries, including 69 Speakers and 216 women parliamentarians, gathered in the 138th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly to identify and agree upon parliamentary inputs to the UN-led reforms on the rights and protection of migrants and refugees. Representing Mongolian Parliament, MPs L.Enkh-Amgalan, L.Bold, B.Saranchimeg and O.Baasankhuu are attending the assembly. During the assembly, Mongolian MPs attended the regional meeting. Mongolian Parliamentary Group nominated MP B.Saranchimeg for a member of the Bureau of the Standing Committee on Democracy and Human Rights, one of IPU four committees.
