Muslims Need To Be United: Prominent Cleric

Tehran, April 10, IRNA – Muslims around the world needs to be united, Iranian Grand Shi'a Source of Jurisprudence Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani said on Monday.
He made the remark in a meeting with chairman of the Russian Islamic Committee Heydar Jamal as well as Professor Alexander Dougine leader of the international Movement eurasiste, one of the groups that support politics of nationalist pride Russian.
“Although in the past decades, the extremists showed a violent face of Islam but it is the religion of peace, friendship, logic, science, justice and honesty; Muslim community is today facing a hard time because it is encountering the enemies' plots, including the plots ahtched by the Zionists and the arrogant powers,” noted the prominent cleric .
“Muslims and in particular the Shi'a activists around the world have a duty to describe the values of Islam and the Prophet (P) and the instructionshis of his Infallible Household (P); Islam completed other religions of the world including the Christianity and this need to be explained to people; ongoing regional Islamic Awakening as well as the movements of the poor in US and EU have all been inspired by the Iranian revolution of 1979.”
Grand Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani underlined that that the entire Muslims and oppressed peoples of the world should wait and do their Islamic duties as they best could for the Twelveth Imam of Shi'a, Imam Mahdi to save the world.
Since the beginning of 2011, the Muslim world has witnessed popular uprisings and revolutions similar to what happened in Iran in 1979. Tunisia saw the overthrow of Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in a popular revolution in January, which was soon followed by a revolution which toppled Hosni Mubarak in Egypt in February.
Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Saudi Arabia and Yemen have since been the scene of protests against their totalitarian rulers, who have resorted to brutal crackdown on demonstrations to silence their critics.
Bahrain however, has experienced the deadliest clashes. Anti-government protesters have been holding peaceful demonstrations across Bahrain since mid-February, calling for an end to the Al Khalifa dynasty's over-40-year rule.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since mid-March with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against Syrian police forces and border guards being reported across the country.
Hundreds of people, including members of the security forces, have been killed, when some protest rallies turned into armed clashes.
The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.
In October, calm was eventually restored in the Arab state after President Bashar al-Assad started a reform initiative in the country, but the US and Zionist regime plots could spark some new unrest in certain parts of the country.
In Islamic eschatology, Imam Mahdi is the prophesied redeemer of Islam and world oppressed who will rid the world of wrongdoing, injustice and tyranny./end
