Nakhon Ratchasima prepares for mobile cabinet meeting

NAKHON RATCHASIMA, Aug 20 (TNA) -- Nakhon Ratchasima in northeastern Thailand is fully prepared for a mobile cabinet meeting to be held this Tuesday as several major issues awaiting decisions by the government of Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha. On Sunday, Deputy Prime Minister Admiral Narong Pipatanasai inspected the preparations at Suranaree University of Technology, the site of the cabinet meeting. He later told journalists that the meeting room as well as necessary equipment are fully prepared. Adm Narong said he would later inspect preparations at the office of Tambon Hua Thale Municipality in the provincial seat where Gen Prayut is scheduled to present land title deeds to the poor on Monday. High-ranking officers of the province plan to propose development projects to Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting for consideration, including a project to divert water from Pasak Jolasid Dam to Lam Takhong Dam with the budget of 4.2 billion baht and a proposal to elevate the dual-track railway in Sikhio district and the provincial seat. Besides the Cabinet meeting, the meeting of the joint committee of public and private sectors for economic development will also be held. It will focus on water management, sustainable solution to drought. (TNA)
