National anthem will be modernised with new singers, video

BANGKOK, July 14 (TNA) -- A government sub-committee plans to have new singers sing the national anthem and new video to suit the modern context. Prime Minister’s Office Minister Ormsin Chivapruck said the sub-committee on national anthem production initially decided to have 5-6 singers sing the national anthem to express strength and the song will go with new video to match the present era of the nation. The change would happen simultaneously with the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the present design of the Thai national flag, on Sept 28, he said. Mr Ormsin also said that his sub-committee had yet to finalize the national anthem plan and would later propose it to Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam for consideration and further actions.
