NAT'L CONSULTATIVE COMMITTEE APPROVES LEAVING THE GOVERNMENT

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On Wednesday morning, the National consultative committee (NCC) of the Democratic Party (DP) started its 35th meeting. In a closed regime, the meeting decided to discuss five issues--ratifying new members of the DP NCC, leaving out the coalition government, hearing reports from ministers, and implementation of the coalition government's program. The NCC member Z.Enkhbold questioned the cabinet members about every article and clause of the contract on formation of the coalition government. Another member of the NCC N.Bataa proposed hosting the 5th regular session of the DP on February 18, 2012, and submitted a draft of his proposal to N.Altankhuyag, D.Erdenebat and Z.Narantuya, the heads of the meeting. His draft has been backed by the most of the members who consider as necessity to discuss urgently problems facing the DP. The Minister of Road, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development Kh.Battulga criticized N.Altankhuyag, a current chairman of the DP, for "solely deciding to leave out the coalition government". “And he justifies himself claiming that this decision was made with initiatives of the party members,” Kh.Battulga stressed. In conjunction with this matter, the gathered discussed an issue about discharging N.Altankhuyag from the DP chairmanship. In response, N.Altankhuyag said that competing in the forthcoming parliamentary election together with its “opponent” means not showing a respect to the voters. “The Democratic Party performed its works in the coalition government,” he underlined. Then, after long and hot debates the NCC decided to confirm the intention to leave out the government.
