New Government House reception building inaugurated

BANGKOK, Aug 31 (TNA) – Government House inaugurated the new reception building to receive foreign dignitaries. Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha presided over the merit making ceremony to inaugurate the new building, named Pakdibodin and located behind the Thai Koo Fah, Government House’s main building. Ten senior monks from ten temples performed the ceremony on the auspicious day today. The building construction is initiated by the prime minister under the 137 million baht budget to be the venue for holding meetings and receiving foreign dignitaries. With the 1,385 square meter space, the main hall on the first floor can accommodate a maximum of 150 guests and another two reception rooms, named Thong Tara and Wanasiri can receive small number of guests at about ten people. These two reception rooms are decorated with mixed media art paintings from the Foundation for the Promotion of Supplementary Occupations and Related Technique of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. (TNA)
