O.ENKHTSETSEG ATTENDS GENERAL DEBATE OF UNGA SECOND COMMITTEE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Director of the Multilateral Cooperation Department of the Mongolian Foreign Ministry O.Enktsetseg delivered a speech at the General Debate of the 72nd Session of United Nations General Assembly Second Committee, on October 3 in New York, USA. Commenced on October 2, the General Debate is discussing a current state of international finance and economy, ways to realize the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and overcoming issues in least developed countries, landlocked developing countries (LLDCs) and small island developing states. After presenting the socio-economic and sustainable development policies, programs and actions of Mongolian Government, O.Enkhtsetseg expressed Mongolia’s interest in joining regional economic integration and strengthening cooperation with the neighbors and other countries, as well as organizing the Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in Ulaanbaatar in July 2018. She emphasized that a multilateral agreement on establishing the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries is realizing on October 6 as a result of Mongolia's initiative of 2006 on establishing the organization with the purposes of protecting common interests of LLDCs, and efforts to cooperate with members of the group and bilateral and multilateral partners.
