Only 19% of people follow government’s works
BANGKOK, July 8 (TNA) -- Only 19.78 per cent of people fully understand accomplishments of the government’s works, according to a poll recently conducted by Suan Dusit Poll.
The Suan Dusit Rajabhat University's Suan Dusit Poll conducted on 1,112 people nationwide between July 3-7 found that 54.32 per cent of the respondents realised some of the government tasks as they followed from the media while 17.99 per cent did not know much and 7.91 per cent did not know at all because they did not pay attention to political news.
The poll was conducted ahead of an announcement plan by the government of Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha on how it handles the overall political and economic situations in the country during the past three years.
Outstanding accomplishments by the government in the eyes of the respondents are corruption suppression, restoring peace in the country, suppressing forest encroachers and developing transportation systems.
Handling of economy, spending on military budget and the exercise of power under Article 44 of the interim constitution, especially on forbidding people to travel on the cargo bed of pickup truck, were disapproved by the respondents. (TNA)
