OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES FOR EMERGENCY COMMISSION REVISED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ During its regular meeting on May 30, Tuesday, the Cabinet approved a revision to Operational Guidelines for State Emergency Commission. The revised guidelines reflect the eligibility criteria for the position of Secretary of the State Emergency Commission. An official with minimum 5 years of work experience in a supervising position in government agencies, and of colonel or above rank is eligible for the position. Moreover, the revised guidelines state that the Commission’s operational team will comprise five full-time members who will be included in the workforce of National Emergency Management Agency. Also, the guidelines also authorizes the forming of an Emergency group in cases of disasters and hazards and requires Emergency Commissions of the capital city and aimags to attach local budget report when requesting for additional fund.
