PARLIAMENT LAUNCHES ITS AUTUMN SESSION

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The first autumn session of new parliament opened on Monday.
Present were 54 out of 71 MPs--five are abroad, other five are touring localities. An opening remark has been made by Z.Enkhbold, the Speaker of the State Great Khural.
The autumn session is expected to discuss draft laws on the 2012 budget of Mongolia; on 2013 budget for the Human Development Fund; on 2013 budget for social insurance fund; on savings insurance; on stock market; on freedom of media; on food; and on ensuring safety of food products; also a draft resolution of parliament on approving basic guidelines on fiscal policy for 2013, the budget performance of Mongolia for 2011, the master report on government's finance for 2011, and another draft resolution of parliament on approving basic guidelines of refining laws until 2016.
Our State Great Khural must have 76 members. For the time being, two winner candidates at constituencies of the city's Bayangol and Songinokhairkhan districts did not reach votes of above 26 per cent, so re-election will run in these constituencies; other two are said to be involved in the election fraud in Ovorkhangai aimag; one candidate from the "Justice" coalition (Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party and National Democratic Party) Ts.Oyunbaatar has satisfied conditions for becoming an MP through the proportional system, but he has postponed an oath taking awaiting how a case will be solved regarding N.Enkhbayar, a chairman of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MPRP).
