Parliament ratifies ICCPED
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its afternoon plenary meeting on Thursday, the parliamentary session discussed and then ratified the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance (ICCPED).
The ICCPED is an international human rights instrument of the United Nations intended to prevent forced disappearance defined in international law, crimes against humanity. The text was adopted by the UN General Assembly on 20 December of 2006 and opened for signature on February 6 of 2007. It entered into force on December 23 of 2010.
The same day, parliament considered and also ratified a credit agreement for a project on enhancing the medical treatment-and-diagnosis center of western region, established June 12 of 2014 between the governments of Mongolia and Belgium.
