PM RECIEVES AUSTRALIAN FM

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister of Mongolia, Mr N.Altankhuyag has met Australia's Foreign Affairs Minister and Senator Mr Bob Carr on October 3.
The two sides noted that this visit is coinciding with the 40th anniversary of Mongolia-Australia diplomatic relations. The Mongolian PM highly appreciated the official development assistance the Australian government has given to Mongolia's spheres of human resources, nature and environment and health, and expressed an interest in deepening the collaboration in trade and investments sectors.
He also said Mongolia has many things to learn from Australian who dedicates mining sector's revenue to increasing of economic and social advantages. The agriculture is one of the sectors in which the cooperation may be developed successfully, he said and proposed that the agricultural ministries establish ties.
In turn, Mr Carr said Australia increased its official development assistance by three million Australian dollars last year, added by ten a quota of Mongolian students who study on Australian scholarships. Since 1994, a total of 244 Mongolians have graduated the Australian universities, besides, "a matter on easing the student visa might be considered positively," Mr Bob Carr said.
