PM visits Khon Kaen to follow up progress in key policy

KHON KAEN, June 21 (TNA) – Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha is visiting the northeastern province of Khon Kaen to follow up on progress in the implementation of the government’s key policies. The prime minister left Bangkok this morning to the first stop at Khon Kaen University. He delivered a keynote speech on “Mobilization of Thailand 4.0 in the Northeast” and visited an exhibition “Khon Kaen University’s Research and Innovation for Thailand 4.0”. Researches on food and agriculture, future energy, bio-economy, ICT are put on display to demonstrate intent of universities in the Northeast to promote value-based economy of in line with Thailand 4.0 policy. Later in the afternoon, Gen Prayut is scheduled to visit Khon Kaen Dairy Cooperatives to hand over raw milk production and feed mixing mills, as well as a permit for the use of 5 plots of land reform (Sor Por Kor land), to the Cooperatives. He will also follow up on implementation progress of large-scale farming, and other agricultural development as well as meet with the local people before he returns to Bangkok at 4 pm. today. (TNA)
