Police Chief: US Not In A Position To Attack Iran

Tehran, Dec 19, IRNA - Iran's police chief Brigadier Esmail Ahmadi Moghaddam said on Sunday that the US is not in a position to attack the Islamic Republic of Iran and its presence in regional countries has other reasons. Addressing a group of security forces in charge of protecting the country’s borders, he said over one third of the US army have been deployed in our neighboring states and therefore maintaining the security of borders is of prime importance, he said. Defending the country’s borders is not among responsibilities of police force, he said adding that in fact police are regarded as the first defense layer of the country, he said. Since the neighboring states are incapable of securing their own borders, the responsibilities of the Iranian police is of prime importance to this end, he said./end
