Police disperses unsanctioned protest actions in Turkey

Azerbaijan, Baku, September 16 /Trend, A.Taghiyeva/
Turkish police dispersed a group of people in Ankara and Hatay province who were protesting against the death of demonstrator Ahmet Atakan during the protest actions on September 9, CNN Türk reported on Monday.
According to the TV channel, several people were injured as a result of clashes between the protestors and the police. .
Earlier, Turkish Interior Minister Muammer Guler said that the Turkish police were not involved in Ahmed Atakan's death.
Those dissatisfied with the policy of the ruling Justice and Development Party were involved in the protest actions in Antakya region of Turkish Hatay province on September 9. There were clashes between the country's security forces and the demonstrators during the protest actions as a result of which Ahmet Atakan was killed.
Protests had been taking place in Turkey for nearly three weeks. According to the authorities the protests had anti-governmental character.
As a result of the unrests in Turkey nearly 4,000 people got traumas of varying severity, 5 died and 4,900 were detained by the police.
