Premier attends opening of winter greenhouse

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister of Mongolia N.Altankhuyag attended last Saturday an opening ceremony of a winter greenhouse built up under a funding from the capital of the Government bonds. Tumen Suikh LLC received a long-term soft loan of 940 million togrog from the sale incomes of the Genghis Bonds of the Mongolian Government to open this first ever winter greenhouse with advanced Holland technology in northern Songino Khairkhan district of Ulaanbaatar. This year, Tumen Suikh is planning to harvest 65 ton of cucumber in their winter greenhouse. The Government has planned to allot 27 million togrog from its bonds to building-up of winter greenhouses to supply the demand of vegetables with ones grown in this kind of facility from domestic products, thus reducing the imports. Some eighty companies took part in the tender of winter house, 16 of which have been selected to receive needed funding. Today, Mongolia annually grows 4,600 ton of garden vegetables out of 40 thousand ton needed, said Agriculture Deputy Minister Ts.Tuvaan.
