President Aliyev: Level of Azerbaijani education should be so high that no one would go abroad

Azerbaijan, Baku, September 11 /Trend/ The level of education in Azerbaijan should be so high that no one would go abroad and there would be no need for it, President Ilham Aliyev said during conversation with the family members of the internally displaced person from Agdam region, martyr's widow Safura Huseynova at the tea table. The head of state became familiar with a new quarter of 15 five-storey residential houses built for 866 IDP families in Barda. Safura Huseynova congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on admission of his son Heydar to higher education, noting that the Head of State wanted him to receive education in Azerbaijan. "This is really an important issue. I want it very much, that Azerbaijani youth would receive education in Azerbaijan. My son studied at a high school in Baku and will receive higher education in Azerbaijan. It is true that on my initiative brought forward a few years ago, we send young people for education abroad and funds are also allocated for this purpose. The State Oil Fund, which has allocated funds for construction of these buildings, also allocates nearly 30 million manat per year for education abroad," President Aliyev said. "And the youth go and receive education abroad," he noted. "I welcome this. But I said then and want to say now and affirm it by my example, that we should create such conditions that the children would study in Azerbaijan. President Aliyev noted that the level of education in Azerbaijan should be so high that no one would go abroad and there would be no need for that. "We are gradually achieving these objectives as well. Of course, as the President, I'm glad that I show the way in this sphere too," the president said. According to the president, education abroad has both advantages and disadvantages. "Children became far away from their homeland, their families, and live in a different environment. We should try to raise the level of education so high that children and students would study in Azerbaijan. They wouldn't torn apart from their national roots, would grow up and brought up in a national spirit. Your children will now study in this beautiful school. If they study well, they will be admitted to higher education schools. We need patriotic youth," President Aliyev said. Do you have any feedback? Contact our journalist at agency@trend.az
