President: Ignorance Of Quran, Root Cause Of Human Sufferings

Tehran, April 11, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Tuesday blamed ignorance of commands of Quran for the sufferings of mankind in the international community. Addressing a group of people in Bastak, a city in southern Hormuzgan Province, Ahmadinejad said, 'That's why foreign forces massacre women and children in Afghanistan and the other occupied countries today, violating national sovereignty of the other nations.' He said had all Muslims acted on Quran and followed the orders and rules of the heavenly book, we would not have been witnessing so many sufferings of mankind in the human community, the injustice, plundering wealth of other nations by force, poverty and discrimination.' The president castigated the horrible practice of occupiers of Afghanistan citing massacre of 17 Afghan women and children by US troop. The Chief Executive said had Muslim communities acted on Quran, the Zionists having no culture would not have been able to threaten human beings' community today. He said, 'The westerners have established military bases in our region to plunder wealth of the regional nations. These all are due to Muslims' negligence of Quranic command and culture.'
