PRESIDENT KH.BATTULGA MEETS GENERALS

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ On January 19, President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of Mongolia Kh.Battulga met Mongolian generals. The meeting was co-organized by the President’s Office and Mongolian General Center.
The military rank ‘general’ was conferred upon 181 officers in total, 97 of whom are alive today. 35 generals are still serving in the army.
During the meeting, the President discussed the ‘Development-Mongolian soldier’ program with the generals, aside from bringing up social and economic issues.
Major General Ya.Purevdorj appreciated the President for meeting generals and said, “It’s important to have Mongolian soldiers take part in development and provide them with job and income.”
“According to the news from last week, Mongolia’s population reached 3.2 million. We are aware of in what environment the younger generation is growing up. Today, as social media takes over, a sapient new generation that disavows everyone and everything is emerging. There might be no time or opportunity in the future, if we don’t take a decisive step. Mongolians are losing patriotic spirits,” said Major General A.Ganbat at the meeting.
