PRESIDENT MEETS FORMER PM BLAIR

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A former Prime Minister of the Great Britain Tony Blair has appreciated all achievements the Mongolian leader has gained such as strengthening of the democracy, cherishing the human rights and stabilizing of the economy of Mongolia. It was sounded at a meeting with Mongolia's President on July 27 arranged at a request of Mr Blair. The latter expressed satisfaction with the arrival of the State Head of Mongolia to the London Games and highly spoke Mongolia's "active and motivated chairing the Community of Democracies (CoD)". The former PM also raised matters on current situation in the Middle East and said Mongolian is the model of the democracy for central Asian countries. Then the dignitaries underlined an importance of Mongolia's joining the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), initiated by Mr Blair. "It will contribute not only to the mining sector but also to intensifying of the economic growth of Mongolia. After this the sides exchanged views on the Mongolia-Britain relations, on regional and international issues. B.Khuder
