PRESIDENT MEETS LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ On February 17 the President Ts.Elbegdorj received several high officials to ask about the current state of affairs and problems in related spheres. The general judge of the Supreme court Ts.Zorigt said that, in attempts to deeepen the judiciary reform, a united order has been made to increase a responsibility, besides, an inspection is being run in regions. For example, the complaints from people are being considered, and those have been questioned who have worked too many years or who have failed to show fruitfulness, and some general judges and judges in aimags have been dismissed. The Prosecutor General D.Dorligjav: A plan has been made for the years of 2011-2016 to strengthen a judiciary. We have renewed 93 prosecutors--mainly bosses--out of those who work in our 42 units, besides, we are paying great attention to work experience and skills when promoting to higher positions. The Police head, Mayor-General D.Sandag-Ochir: The criminal situation is not stable in general, some 19 thousand cases have been recorded, we have compants from 130 people, almost a half of the cases are recorded in the UB city, triggered by use of alcohol and by unemployment.
