PRESIDENT RECEIVES OUTGOING AMBASSADOR OF CANADA

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On August 3, President Kh.Battulga met with Ambassador of Canada to Mongolia Ed Jager who has completed his tenure in Mongolia. During the meeting, President Kh.Battulga talked about how Mongolia and Canada have been cooperating mainly in mining sector, and said “We can also cooperate in agriculture and sports, especially winter sports”. He also mentioned possibilities of cooperation on advanced agricultural technologies since the two countries have similar landform and climate. The President also touched upon some of the works he had done as Minister of Food and Agriculture in cooperation with Canadian experts, and expressed interest in working with Canada on forest growth. He emphasized that cooperation in forestry could be as important as cooperation in mining. For his part, Ambassador Ed Jager noted how bilateral cooperation can prosper in agriculture, banking and winter sports areas. Kh.Aminaa
