PRESIDENT RECEIVES SPEAKER OF NAT'L ASSEMBLY

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The President Ts.Elbegdorj received Mr. Jassem Al-Kharafi, the Speaker of the National Assemly of Kuwait on Monday. The dignitaries expressed a mutual satisfaction with an intensive development of the bilateral political ties and concluded that the inter-parliamentary cooperation has been developing fruitfully in frames of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU). Mr. Jassem appreciated Mongolia's success in strengthening the democracy in a short time and then underlined that the President Ts.Elbegdorj has significantly contributed to the Mongolian democracy. "My attention is drawn to Your policy and initiatives at international arena on environment protection. We really appreciate Your decree on creation of national Day of planting trees. We want to study the Mongolian experience in combating a desertification by planting trees and to cooperate in it," Mr. Jassem stressed. The sides spoke about an opportunity to cooperate within the IPU and exchanged views on other opportunities to widen the bilateral relations and cooperation.
