PRESIDENT URGES FOR A PROPER INVESTIGATION ON ’60 BILLION’ RECORDING

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ President Kh.Battulga criticized the slow process of investigation on leaked recording of ‘60 billion’. The President met Kh.Enkhjargal, General Director and Commissioner General and Ts.Nyamdorj, Deputy Commissioner General of the Independent Authority Against Corruption on July 24, Monday to discuss the above issue which has been a public concern for over a year now. Leaked prior to the 2016 General Elections, the 90-minute audio recording in question features certain officials from the Mongolian People’s Party discussing the possibility of garnering MNT 60 billion from the sale of public offices. President Kh.Battulga emphasized on the seriousness of the content of the recording, commanding the Independent Authority Against Corruption to run the investigation properly. The President also reminded the authorities of his formal letter delivered to the agency regarding the same issue on June 5 while running for presidency, demanding for a response. Kh.Aminaa
