PRESIDENTS ARE SATISFIED WITH NEGOTIATIONS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The official negotiations were very successful and fruitful, have said the Presidents of Mongolia and of Indonesia at a press conference on results of the Indonesian leader's state visit to Mongolia. The President of Mongolia, Ts.Elbegdorj said at these talks, "which were sincere and businesslike", the sides reached agreements to cooperate between themselves and in the regional and international levels. The dignitaries said they are satisfied with their ties' development since the 1997 jointly statement on relations and cooperation, stressing they are to be strengthened by political talks and negotiations, widened by the cooperation in trade and investments, by activating ties in Asia Pacific and international arenas. It especially regards a creation of the consultative mechanism between two Foreign affairs Ministries, activities of the intergovernmental joint commission, a support for ties between officials, a strengthening of the democracy in region, and improvement of the democracy education. The relationship has been based on common values such as human rights, freedom, respect to laws and strengthening of democracy. The head of the Community Democracies since July of 2011, Mongolia is willing to cooperate with Indonesia in strengthening of the democracy quality, in creating a democratic institute. The two countries have wide possibilities to develop the collaboration in agriculture, mineral resources, infrastructure, small- and medium-sized business and tourism. The two governments will work on making an implementation plan reflecting these issues. The President of Mongolia said his counrty wants to strengthen its position and participation in multilateral cooperation of the region, to become a partner of ASEAN, to attend high level meetings of East Asia by collaborating with the ASEAN countries, and thanked the leader of Indonesia for supporting Mongolia's seeking a membership in the APEC and hoped that this issue will be improved because Indonesia will chair the APEC from 2013. Mr Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said the two sides agreed to strengthen an economic collaboration and activate it in some spheres, moreeover, to collaborate inn frames of their economics growth. He is confident that the two countries will strengthen the democratic values, widen relations in adhering to human rights. The Indonesian side will suypport all the above initiatives on the region cooperation, he said. The President of Indonesia congratulated Mongolia on its chairing the Community of Democracies. Indonesia is chairing the Bali Democracy forum, he mentioned and invited the Mongolian leader to the Bali Democracy's high level forum, which is expected this November, and to visit Indonesia with a visit.
