PRIME MINISTER ARRIVES IN SAINT PETERSBURG

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister of Mongolia N.Altankhuyag arrived Thursday in Russia’s Saint Petersburg to attend the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. A led by him delegation includes Economic Development Minister N.Batbayar, Foreign Deputy Minister D.Gankhuyag, Petroleum Authority Chief G.Buren-Erdene and others. On Friday, after taking part in panel session themed "Sustaining Confidence in a World Undergoing Transformation", the Premier will be received by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. Our PM will also receive V.Yakunin, a head of Russian Railways, and Igor Sechin, a head of "Rosneft", an integrated oil company majority owned by the Russian government. The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is a leading international economic and business forum held annually in Russia. The Forum was established in 1997. Since 2006, it is run under a patronage of the Russian President. The organizing committee of the Forum is chaired by the Minister for Economic Development of the RF, with input on the programme and activities coming from a community of major international and Russian business leaders. Over the past five years the Forum has transformed into a leading global business event, attracting over 4,000 Russian and international participants, representing government and business from around the world, joined by leading voices from academia, the media, and civil society. SPIEF gathers leading decision-makers to identify and deliberate the key challenges facing emerging markets and growth economies, Russia and the world, and engage communities to find common purpose and establish frameworks to forge solutions.
