PROJECT ON HIV/AIDS TO BE IMPLEMENTED

Ulaanbaatar,Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian Red Cross Society will implement a project “The prevention of HIV for Young people, mobile population and risk-prone population”. Assisted by the UB-based United Nations Population Fund /UNPF/, the project is to cover Ulaanbaatar, Darkhan and Erdenet cities and Dornogovi, Dornod and Umnugobi aimags in 2012-2016. This action is to be a follow-up to a project "Cross Border HIV" realized in 2009-2011 by the Mongolian Red Cross at a support of donor organizations. That time it covered Zamiin-Uud of Dornogobi aimag, Bulgan soum of Hovd aimag and the Chinese Erlian of Inner Mongolia and border point Takashiken of Xijiang Uygur, and involved mobile population, prostitutes, truck drivers and also those doing business on cross borders.
