Relations between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan continue intensively on international platforms – Ambassador

Bishkek, Aug. 29, 2018. /Kabar/. In 2018 intensive political dialogue is ongoing between the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on different international platforms, including SCO summits, IFAS, consultative meetings of Central Asian leaders in Astana and others, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan Komil Rashidov told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency. Komil Rashidov said that the unanimous approval and adoption of Central Asia resolution in UN on June 22, worked out by Uzbekistan jointly with neighboring countries, demonstrates wide international recognition of a whole new atmosphere of trust and good neighborly relations in the region. “In the resolution the important role of Central Asian countries in ensuring peace, stability and sustainable development in the region, as well as promoting regional and international cooperation is acknowledged. It is encouraging that promotion of the peace process and socio-economic development in Afghanistan is being carried out through joint efforts of Central Asian countries. Another important factor for diversification of transport routes in the region is the international motor road “Tashkent-Andijan-Osh-Irkeshtam-Kargash," he said. The Ambassador told that, as a whole, Uzbek-Kyrgyz mutual support is also expanding in other areas of international and regional agenda.
