RESPONSIBILITIES TO BE IMPOSED UPON SOME OFFICIALS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Those who triggered the price boost will be punished, said S.Batbold PM on Wednesday. He said it at a regular meeting of the cabinet and obliged D.Zorigt, the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, to impose responsibilities upon B.Ariunsan, a Vice Minister, and D.Amarsaikhan, a head of the Oil Authority. Then the cabinet heard the Mineral Resources and Energy Minister's report on a present situation in oil products' supply and related measures. In conjunction with it, the cabinet advised L.Purevdorj, the president of Bank of Mongolia, to reduce a rate of the U.S dollar and to abolish a shortage of the currency at the market, which may help in slackening the fuels and some consumer goods and services' price boost. L.Purevdorj also was told to make regulations in a currency trade for the fuel importers at the rate of the Bank of Mongolia. The Ministers of Minerals and Energy and of Finance were obliged to place money in the state budget for erecting oil containers in Ulaanbaatar, Choir and Darkhan. To do so, a related law will be altered. Moreover, the Minister of Minerals and Energy was tasked with negotiating and making contracts with some countries on augmenting the import sources of oil products and stabilizing the prices. The Premier considered that the responsibility must be also imposed upon the Department for fair competitions and consumers' interest and the Association for protection of consumers' interests.
