Rodong Sinmun Commentator Reveals Purpose of Trump's Junket to Asia

Pyongyang, November 19 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Sunday carries a commentator's article disclosing the purpose of Trump's recent tour of Asia. Noting that Trump's tour of Asia was the reckless one to stifle the Democratic People's Republic of Korea as it was aimed at "denuclearization of the north", the article goes on: The main target of Trump's first trip to Asia after taking office was explicitly the DPRK. He vociferously told everyone he met about the "nuclear threat from north Korea" and forced everyone to make "all efforts" to impose sanctions and pressure on the DPRK. He persistently let Asian countries join in the cooperation for "north's dismantlement of nukes" with threats and allurement, and bragged that he united the world for "maximum pressure on the north." However, it revealed the poor position of the U.S. which has to recognize the tremendous might of the DPRK and is impossible to cope with the DPRK. Trump's Asia trip was also to meet the interests of the U.S. Another purpose of his Asia trip was to tighten the U.S. supremacy and control over the region and preserve the position of the "only superpower" in decline. But the era has changed. Nothing is more serious miscalculation than to think that the U.S. would always block the vigorous advance of mankind for independence, equality, justice and progress.
